Meet Your .NET Instructor - Doug Rees

Hello! My name is Doug Rees and I am one of the most experienced .NET certification instructors in the United Kingdom. With over 10 years as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) as well as 10 years as a .NET consultant, I can steer you through the tricky path of MCTS exams plus give you lots of real-world experience.

My Background

My initial introduction to the .NET Framework was when I co-wrote the first Visual Basic.NET Microsoft Official Curriculum course in 2000 for Microsoft in Seattle. After that I worked on several other high profile Microsoft courses that have been sold worldwide including various .NET as well as SQL Server 2005 courses.

For the past 6 years I have worked as the lead .NET instructor at Firebrand Training (formerly The Training Camp UK) responsible for teaching over 700 students how to successfully prepare for their Microsoft exams. I know what works best in order to help you achieve your goals, but don't take my word for it, see some of my student's comments.

Since 1999 I have also developed applications as a consultant using the .NET Framework from the original beta up to the current version 3.5. I have worked on AJAX enabled E-commerce ASP.NET websites, intranet applications, click-once deployed Windows applications plus many more. That's why I am able to include many real-world tips and tricks during my courses rather than just focusing on what you need to pass exams.
